Christina Wodtke gehört zu den führenden Köpfen rund um die Arbeit mit dem gefragten Management-System OKR (Objectives and Key Results). Vor ein paar Tagen schrieb sie in einem Artikel zum Thema „Cascading OKRs at scale“ folgenden Absatz:
„OKRs are NOT for Command and Control. Do not use OKRs if you want to control people’s activities. Only use OKRs if you want to direct your people toward desired outcomes and trust them enough to figure out how. OKRs ONLY work for empowered teams, otherwise they are a travesty (a travesty reminiscent how Agile is implemented in most companies, so not that shocking. But still upsetting.)“
Damit spricht sie uns aus der Seele, denn es ist immer wieder erstaunlich und frustrierend, wie oft wir in letzter Zeit Sätze wie „ja, dieses OKR machen wir jetzt auch“ hören und dann sehen, wie viel Theater und Travestie da eigentlich dahinter steckt.
